Zieta Studio x Loop Generation

We are thrilled to introduce our new curated exhibition, in collaboration with Zieta Studio and London Design Festival. Featuring the multidisciplinary team, comprising architects, designers, engineers, and technologists, this exhibition explores the intersection of technology, art, and design.

Led by Oskar Zięta and supported by extensive research and experimentation, the team of ‘process designers’ achieve unpredictable yet controlled results when working with metal, referring to it as “a controlled loss of control”. Their flagship FiDU technology transforms metal sheets into three-dimensional marvels.

The exhibition Through Process to Progress offers an immersive exploration of Zieta Studio’s creative process, highlighting its unwavering commitment to sustainable design. Their ethos is rooted in the belief that true progress in design emerges from a deep understanding of material and process.

The exhibition invites visitors to journey through Zieta Studio’s innovative approaches, where traditional craftsmanship meets cutting-edge technology to redefine the possibilities of metal. At the core of this exploration is FiDU, an advanced metal-inflating technology pioneered by Oskar Zięta, which transforms flat steel sheets into intricate, three-dimensional forms. The forms are functional, lightweight, and sustainably produced, embodying Zieta Studio's philosophy of creating with minimum waste and maximum impact.

The exhibition showcases a series of Zieta Studio’s most iconic works, each a testament to the studio’s dedication to sustainability, all set against the backdrop of Loop Generation's architecturally Art Deco inspired space.

The exhibition highlights the values shared between Loop Generation and Zieta Studio. Visitors will discover how Zieta Studio’s work aligns with these principles, offering a vision of the future where design is both beautiful and responsible. The behind-the-scenes insights let viewers into the studio’s design process and offer a unique opportunity to engage with the “less is less” philosophy that drives us.

The exhibition is produced and co-curated by On&On Designs, in partnership with the Polish Cultural Institute and the Let’s Art Foundation. The project is co-financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland, as part of preparations for the upcoming UK/Poland Cultural Season 2025, organised in collaboration with the British Council.

The exhibition at Loop Generation, located at 171-175 Draycott Avenue, SW3 3AJ, is open until the 20th October 2024.
